		Husband of city council candidate accuses website designer of harassmentxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The Daily Oklahoma today printed a story implying that website designer Terry Midgley is harassing the city council candidate he designed a website for ("Man accused of harassing candidate"). Carolyn Grace is running for city council in ward 4, a seat currently held by Frances Lowery. According to the story, Grace's husband, Robert, is accusing Midgley of flooding the website with messages about the Gay Community.

Another website by Midgley details his side of the story (Public service announcement). In a nutshell, Midgley was hired by Robert Grace to create a site for his wife's campaign. When Grace found out that Midgley was Gay, he fired him. Midgley alleges that Grace was frequently abusive throughout the relationship.

A visit to the Carolyn Grace for City Council website reveals three pages with little or nothing on them, and a guest book with a total of three entries, two of which consist of one sentence, and one which consists of a complaint by Midgley about the treatment he received from Robert Grace, focusing mainly on his temper. The last entry, a request for Carolyn Grace's views on the Gay Community, is dated January 23, 2001, leaving 2 weeks during which no entries have been made. Hardly a flood.

According to Floyd Martin, publisher of Floyd's Newsletter, Carolyn Grace is homophobic. Statements made by Terry Midgley on his "Public service announcement" website seem to bear this out.
