supports you. By "you" I mean the GLBT
Community of Oklahoma City and Central Oklahoma. And
it has been supporting you for over 5 years now:
GayOKC.com went online in October, 1998, supplying
news and information - updated several times a week -
and helping GLBT Oklahomans to discover and learn how
to use the Internet to connect with each other, stand
up for our rights, and make our community a better
place.
I started GayOKC.com
with no capital and no resources except my computer,
Internet connection, and a willingness to try. I've
learned a lot about our community and about myself in
the process. One thing I've learned is that there is
a limit to how much I can accomplish by myself.
And I have been
running GayOKC.com basically by myself all this time.
I would like to have some help with that and
hopefully someday soon I will, but until then I still
have bills to pay and GayOKC.com is not doing that. I
do not have any investors to pay my bills for me.
Yes, there is the potential to sell more advertising,
a potential which I am working on developing, but in
the meantime my only source of income is a next-to-minimum-wage
job that I would love to ditch so I could work on
GayOKC.com full time.
