Dear Soulforce In Oklahoma members,

We have an opportunity to attend a lecture by Arun Gandhi on March 2nd in Tulsa in Chapman Music Hall at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center at 110 E. 2nd, Tulsa. The lecture will be on Friday morning from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.  The description is included below.

If you would like to attend this lecture, please contact me and let me know by Monday, February 19th.  Tickets are $10 and limited.  Arun Gandhi has accompanied Soulforce on two direct actions.  The first time he was ever arrested was with Soulforce in Cleveland, Ohio last May while we were at the United Methodist General Conference.

This is a great opportunity for all students of nonviolence.

In love and peace,

Karen Weldin

Arun Gandhi delivers his lecture, "Grandfather's Messenger," March 2. Gandhi, the grandson of Mohandas K. Gandhi, is an internationally known scholar and social activist. He grew up with apartheid in South Africa, experiencing racial confrontations with both blacks and whites. He was sent to India to live with his grandfather, Mahatma Gandhi, who taught him the powerful philosophy of nonviolence. Using the messages from his grandfather, Gandhi offers practical ideas and methods for social change.
