Hey everyone!
This week (April 22-26), GLBTF is celebrating GLBT
Awareness Week. We have a number of activities
and panels going on this week, so please come join us.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday 4/22: There will be a candle-light vigil
at 9:30pm on the South Oval by Bizzel Statue to
remember Mathew Shephard and other victims of hate
crimes. Come and share your thoughts.
Tuesday 4/23: In the President's Room of the Union (2nd
floor), we will have a panel on gay and lesbians in
heterosexual marriages. This should be an
interesting topic. We will meet at 6pm.
Wednesday 4/24: From 11am to 1pm, GLBTF will have a
demonstration to remember those who have died from
hate crimes. Come lend a hand and support us.
We will also have a panel to discuss bisexuality at 6pm
in the President's Room.
Thursday 4/25: We will host an open mic night at 8pm
in the Food Court of the Union. Come and bring
your poetry, prose and songs and show people how gosh-darn
talented you are!
Friday 4/26: Okay, the party to kick the asses of all
parties...it's GLBTF's 30th Anniversary party Flip
Out! The night kicks off at 9pm in Beaird
Lounge (2nd floor of the union) and continues on
until 1am. We will have a live DJ, free
snackies, and a full bar (you must be 21 to drink, so
bring your IDs!). The entry fee will be $4 and
$3 for those who dress in drag/glam attire.
Come on, it'll be great!
Well, there you go. We will have tables in the
union by Wendy's all through the week, so come and
visit us, get signed up for the list serve and just
meet some of the friendly faces of GLBTF. We
hope to see you all during the week!
