Changes in the
Website
George has been working hard on making some changes
to the website. There is now a calendar of gay and
lesbian exclusive tours on the site. This is one of
the most complete listings to be found anywhere and
shows almost all of the tours and cruises available
until November 2002. We have had numerous requests
for this information and are proud to offer it
GNL and Team OK-USA
join forces for Peter Paige
Team OK-USA will be announcing one of their
fundraising efforts in about two weeks and GNL Travel
is proud to be working with them on this major event.
On June 14, 2002, Peter Paige (Emmett from Queer
As Folk) will be the featured speaker in the new
"An evening with . . . " series, which Team
OK-USA has created. It will be held in Tulsa,
Oklahoma at the Adams Mark Hotel. GNL has arranged
special room rates with the Adams Mark for only $69
per room for this event. This is a reduction of over
50% in the normal rate for one of Tulsa's premiere
hotels. For more information on ticket sales for

officially start on May 1. If you are interested in

Book now for Fall
Yeah I know its not even summer yet but many of the
really good deals for this fall are to be had now.
Many of the tour operators, cruise lines and
especially the GLBT exclusive operators and notifying
us of either sold out offerings or close to sold out
for this fall. As many of you know, anytime after
September 1, travel rates traditionally decline in
many parts of the world, so why not take advantage of
them? Europe is one of the best buys at this time of
the year and contrary to popular belief, its really
not that cold! Check it out and lets talk.
Airlines Delete
Commissions and how we are handling it
Well, they have finally done it. The airlines have
completely done away with commissions to the Travel
Agents. This means we no longer make any money on air
travel. Travel agencies throughout the United States
are dealing with this latest development in many ways.
Most have elected to charge a service fee to the
client on all air travel. After much work and
research, we have found that the average fee is
currently $25 per ticket. George and I cannot in
clear conscious charge those types of prices but yet
we have to pay the rent. So we have devised the
following Service Fees, which are in effect now:
$10 service fee for airline ticketing, with a cap of
$25 if three or more tickets are purchased.
If airfare is purchased in conjunction with any tour,
cruise, hotel or car rental there will be NO fee
added.
We know this type of fee is below the standards in
the industry and hope that we can maintain it there
for sometime to come.
