The following is a press release from the Oklahoma Gay and Lesbian Political Caucus

The Oklahoma Gay and Lesbian Political Caucus is looking for new people to handle it's Internet efforts. Rob Abiera, the person who has been overseeing OGLPC's Internet activities for the past 3 years, is involved in other projects, and feels that he is no longer be able to give OGLPC's Internet outreach the attention it deserves. Abiera has been overseeing OGLPC's website, located at www.geocities.com/oglpc, as well as handling the group's e-mail - including producing e-mail newsletters and announcements to send to OGLPC's address list, and moderating the OGLPC Discussion List, an e-mail forum for discussing GLBT issues and sharing information.

Abiera feels that the Internet has grown by leaps and bounds in that time in terms of it's effectiveness as a grassroots medium. So much so that he feels it is time for OGLPC to develop a new web policy and strategy, one which calls for greater involvement from the group as a whole in implementing the strategy. The group is forming a committee to study how to do this most effectively, as well as search for new people to take over the responsibility of maintaining OGLPC's Internet resources. These new people will work with this committee.

OGLPC invites those who desire to join it's Internet campaign to send e-mail to oglpc@yahoo.com. The group's immediate concern is finding someone to take over the task of maintaining the website, and they invite interested persons to contact them by e-mail.
