CIMARRON
ALLIANCE GROUP AT INAUGURAL BALL Well, how's this for a milestone in the
history of OKC's GLBT Community? The Cimarron
Alliance Group was invited to Gov
Henry's Inaugural Ball Monday evening, and, as you
can see, they accepted the invitation. Yes, that's Ed
Kromer and Joe Quigley - both Cimarron Alliance Group
board members - dancing AT the ball. The music was
live, of course, and the band was backing up a singer
who turned out to be none another than Anita
Bryant. Yes, THAT Anita Bryant! I kid you not!!!!!!!!
Thanks to Joe Quigley for the pics - I only wish I
had time to process and upload all of them tonight.
Several CAG board members attended the ball.
Hopefully they'll be posted on the Cimarron
Alliance Group website.
PEGGY
JOHNSON AT COA Ms Johnson will be singing this Saturday,
the 18th at Church of the Open Arms, 3131 N
Pennsylvania, starting at 8PM.
OGLPC
WEBSITE GETS NEW ADDRESS With
the new year of 2003, OGLPC (Oklahoma Gay &
Lesbian Political Caucus) wishes to announce our
second generation web page at http://www.oglpc.org.
Having our own domain name and a new internet host
will allow OGLPC to respond to its members needs and
questions with the latest accurate information
concerning the gay/lesbian political scene in
Oklahoma and nationally.
New and re-newing members will be able to make their
contributions on-line, to send e-mails with questions
and comments, and to find links connecting them with
many local, state, and national government offices,
as well as gay/lesbian civil rights organizations
across the country.
OGLPC's new webmaster, Philippe Beaudette, brings
talent, flair, and commitment to gay/lesbian rights
activism as vice-president/president-elect of Church
of the Open Arms, a United Churches of Christ (UCC)
congregation in Oklahoma City.
OGLPC wishes to thank Rob Abiera, our former
webmaster, for his pioneering work in establishing
the first release of our website. Mr. Abiera
found it necessary to devote his entire attention to
his own website, GayOKC.com, and he remains a loyal
member of OGLPC.
Please take a moment to change your bookmarks
and explore OGLPC's new website at http://www.oglpc.org and get acquainted with the
new features made possible through Eclipse Hosting.
