HIV+ AFRICAN AMERICANS
Langston University's HIV Counseling Testing
and Referral Center invites HIV+ African Americans to
an evening of dinner, entertainment and fellowship.
The event, "The Power of Pozitive
Thinking" takes place Feb 27 at 6PM.

826-2721. The event is free and you must be positive
to attend.
COUNCIL CANDIDATES TO ADDRESS
STONEWALL, OGLPC
Central Oklahoma Stonewall Democrats
welcomes candidates Sam Bowman and Jim
Sellers who are running for city council in
Ward 2 of Oklahoma City, as their guest at the
Wednesday, March 12, meeting starting at 7:00 pm, NE
41 & Lincoln, Demo Party HQ.
Bowman and Sellers will also be addressing the
Monday, March 10 meeting of the Oklahoma Gay and
Lesbian Political Caucus, which starts at 7PM at The
Center, 2135 NW 39th Street.
Mr. Bowman, a program officer for the Oklahoma City
Community Foundation, was formerly eight years on the
Oklahoma City Planning Commission.
A well known caterer, Mr Sellers is making his first
run for local office. Mr. Sellers has been a board
member of the Oklahoma Restaurant Association and
National Restaurant Association. Previously, he
served as a board member of the Oklahoma City and
Edmond chambers of commerce.
PFLAG NORMAN GETS NEW WEBSITE
OKC webmaster Tim Turner,
well known for his OKDiversity.com website, as
well as his work on sites for OGRA, PNI, AIDS Walk
OKC and The HiLo Club, is now doing the honors for
PFLAG's Norman chapter. Though some sections are
still under construction, the site is now live at www.pflagnorman.org.
HOMOSEXUALITY AND SCRIPTURE
CONFERENCE RETURNS
First Unitarian Church will be the site of
Oklahoma City's second Homosexuality and Scripture
Conference on February 28 and March 1. The conference
- entitled "Homosexuality and Scripture:
Relating Faithfully" - is again being organized
by six of OKC's "welcoming" congregations:
Cathedral of Hope OKC, Church of the Open Arms,
Epworth United Methodist Church, First Unitarian
Church, Mayflower Congregational Church and St.
Andrews Presbyterian Church. Info is online at the First

BASHLINE TO STEP DOWN AS
CIMARRON ALLIANCE GROUP PRESIDENT
Paul Bashline recently announced that he
will not seek another term as president of the
Cimarron Alliance Group. His current term ends April
1. Anthea Maton will be acting president until new
electoins are held. Paul's letter of resignation is
online at the CAG website.
LOCAL STONEWALLERS VIE FOR
NATIONAL POST
Elections are being held next month for
posts on the board of the National Stonewall
Democrats Federation. Three members of the Central
Oklahoma Stonewall Democrats - Rachel Morse, Karen
Parsons and Keith Smith - are on the ballot.
ROTH CAMPAIGN WORKER TO HEAD
NATIONAL GROUP
The National Stonewall Democrats Federation
announced yesterday that Dave Noble
has been named executive director of the organization.
Noble managed get-out-the-vote-operations for Jim
Roth's county commissioner campaign last year. The
announcement is now online at the NSD website.
PRIDE PARADE UPDATE
Pride Network, Inc - organizers of Oklahoma
City's Pride Parade - held their monthly meeting
Monday night and a complete report is now online at www.gayokc.com/pni011803.htm. PNI will be
marching in the Norman Mardi Gras Parade
on Saturday (yes, they could use your help). They are
also taking nominations from the community for Grand
