HOUSE COMMITTEE VOTES NOT TO HEAR ANTI-GAY ADOPTION BILL
According to a report in Friday's Daily Oklahoman, State Representative Bill Graves, R-Oklahoma City, tried to withdraw from committee a bill that would prohibit gays from adopting children. The report states that Graves' motion calling for a vote on the bill was one of many such motions this week by House Republicans in an attempt to make public which issues Democrats, who currently control committee leaderships in the House, are choosing not to hear.
