TREMBLING
BEFORE G-D The following is from an email by
secretary David Larson concerning this week's meeting
of OUGLBTF: Instead of our weekly Tuesday
meeting, we will be attending a screening of "Trembling
Before G-d," a film built around true personal
stories of Hasidic and Orthodox Jews who are gay or
lesbian, and how they try to reconcile their faith
with their sexuality. The film will be shown on
Wednesday, April 2nd, at 8 p.m. in Meachum Auditorium
(at the University of Oklahoma in Norman).
Then on Thursday, April 3rd, at 7 p.m., an Interfaith
Panel on inclusion issues will be held at the Sam
Noble Museum of Natural History (in Norman).
The panelists will be: Father Michael Athey, St.
Anselm of Canterbury Episcopal Student Center; Rev.
Tessie Mandeville, Cathedral of Hope Church; Rabbi
David Packman, Temple B'nai Israel; Pastor Bob Rice,
First Presbyterian Church; Karen Weldin, Soulforce in
Oklahoma (Moderator).
Hillel is the main sponsor of this film along with:

Friends Group; OU Film Studies; OU Anthropology; OU
