Hedwig and The Angry Inch coming to OKC
According to the April 4 edition of the Oklahoma Gazette, the film will be screened at the Noble Theater in the new Oklahoma City Art Museum. The film wil be shown one time only at 7:30PM, Thursday, May 16 as part of a "mini-Sundance Film Festival". Hedwig won the Audience Award at this year's Sundance.

Queer As Folk's 'Emmett' - Peter Paige - coming to Tulsa

Arthur Carl (J.R.) Warren, Jr., 26, of Grant Town, West Virginia, suffered from long-term harassment. On July 3, 2001, he was beaten and kicked by two people wearing steel-toed boots. He was then put in the trunk of a car and taken to his murder scene. The beating and kicking continued, until he was dumped onto the side of the road. Still alive, Warren was repeatedly run over with a car.

On February 25, 2000, Stuart Matis drove to the Mormon chapel in Los Altos, California, and took his life. He was frustrated by the efforts by the Mormon Church to pass Proposition 22, and he felt that he could not reconcile his religion and his homosexuality. He was 32 years old.

Christian Paige, of Chicago, Illinois, was brutally beaten about the head and ears, then strangled, stabbed deeply in her chest and breast area between 15 and 2 dozen times, and finally, burned.

Oklahoma City - These are 3 of the approximately 90 pictures of hate-crime victims Soulforce in Oklahoma plans to display during its April 7 vigil at Village Baptist Church. For more info, visit the Soulforce in Oklahoma website.
