FEBRUARY CALENDAR NOW ONLINE
You would think that, this being the middle of winter and all, that OKC's GLBT Community would want to slow down and stay inside all month! NOT! February is just as lively as every other month! One of the biggest reasons is, of course, politics: the Oklahoma legislature begins it's session this month (Feb 7), there are elections (school board and school bond elections are Feb 8), campaigns to plan, funds to raise, etc. Oh, and there's all the usual stuff, too. It just wouldn't be proper to let a month go by in OKC without a pageant. This month it's Miss Tramps (Feb 14 & 15). And, of course, there's Valentines Day on the 14th. The Pollard Theatre in Guthrie will mark the occasion with a performance of The Fourposter (with Becky Wooldridge and the dazzling Timothy Stewart!). For ALL the details on what's going on this month CLICK HERE!

NORMAN RESIDENT FILES COMPLAINT WITH UNITED NATIONS ALLEGING U.S. DISCRIMINATION
Norman resident Perry Mason (yes, that's his real name) has filed a complaint with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights alleging that the United States is in violation of international treaties because of US laws that discriminate on the basis of sexual orientaion. Mason filed his complaint in December, 1998 and says it usually take 2-3 years for such complaints to be evaluated. A ruling could be issued as early as this year. To read Mason's full

report on his complaint CLICK HERE.
