RAIN announces new director xxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The following is a press release from RAIN. Van Krevelen replaces Pam Cross, who left RAIN in October to take the position of Executive Director for Contact, the 24 hour Help Line. Pam had been with RAIN since 1994.

Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN) announces the appointment of Jean Ann Van Krevelen, MSW as Executive Director. She will oversee statewide services, with main offices located in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Van Krevelen formerly served as a director with the Eagle Ridge Institute and provided therapeutic services at Northcare Community Center. In addition, she is an entrepreneur and free-lance writer.

Jean Ann, an Enid native, received her Bachelor’s degree in Language Arts education from Phillips University, and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver.

RAIN Oklahoma is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a compassionate response to HIV/AIDS through education and service. RAIN Volunteers provide non-medical practical assistance and emotional support to people living with HIV/AIDS throughout the state of Oklahoma. RAIN staff provides educational programs about HIV/AIDS, teaching the facts and helping to dispel the stigma of the disease.
