As you might well imagine, transportation to Australia is not cheap. The Oklahoma City chapter of TeamOK-USA has been hard at work to raise the funds they will need to travel to Sydney to participate in the Gay Games.

They are currently doing lawn care, starting at $25 a yard (if you wish to donate more, they certainly won't turn it down). If you have any yard work to be done and want to help send OKC's Gay athletes to Sydney, call Jeff Kelly at 736-6327.

Every Saturday from now until Memorial Day weekend, team members will be at the Belle Isle Wal-mart on NW Expressway off of Pennsylvania, next door to Penn Square Mall, selling raffle tickets. One of the items they are raffling is a barbecue grill donated by Wal-mart. The other item is a ticket to "An Evening with Peter Paige" (Emmett on Queer As Folk), the gala event being held in Tulsa on June 14. Raffle tickets are being sold for donations. The drawing for the grill will be held May 25 at Wal-Mart. The drawing for the Paige tickets will be held May 26 in the COPA.

In addition, TeamOK-USA members will have booths at various upcoming events, including the Great Plains Rodeo, the Tulsa Pride Festival and the OKC Pride Festival, where they will be selling such items as TeamOK-USA t-shirts and the official TeamOK-USA calendar, featuring athletes from the Team!
