Dear Friends,

President Clinton has agreed to be special guest at a New York City fundraiser for David Walters for US Senate from Oklahoma in late January or early February. Rumor is that maybe Hillary will also attend. I need your help in targeting sponsors and people who should be invited in the New York area. As you probably know David is running against anti-gay, anti-choice, anti-environment, anti-worker, anti-civil liberties incumbent James Inhofe.

You may remember Inhofe's insensitive remarks hours after the OKC bombing when he questioned how many federal workers were actually killed or hurt during the OKC bombing, and suggesting federal workers either show up late or don't go to work at all.

David stands a good chance of taking back this seat for The Democrats. We have a large statewide majority Democrat registration and David has previously won a statewide election for Governor.

Please consider how you can help me with this event and get back with me as soon as possible. You may know of people in the New York area who would like to help sponsor, you may know of a organization with a federal PAC who might like to help, you may be a member of an organization who has members in the New York area who will want to help. Feel free to forward this to friends who you think might be able to help.

If you are interested in attending tickets are $1,000 per person and a bunch of us from Oklahoma plan to attend. We think it is high time we return the support the nation gave us during our own Oklahoma City tragedy and we look forward to helping New York with a few tourist dollars while we help David defeat Jim Inhofe........let me know how you can help.
